VIDEO EDITOR – LONG FORM & SHORT FORM VIDEO

We are hiring a creative and motivated Video Editor to join our team and work on real-world video editing projects for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and other digital platforms. This opportunity is suitable for candidates who are interested in video editing, content creation, social media videos and digital media production.

The selected Video Editor will work on both long-form and short-form video content, including YouTube videos, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, promotional videos, educational videos, social media content, advertisements and other digital content. You will get practical experience working on real projects and will have the opportunity to improve your editing skills through regular work and guidance.

ABOUT THE VIDEO EDITOR ROLE

As a Video Editor, your main responsibility will be to convert raw video footage into professional, engaging and platform-ready content. You will work with video clips, audio, images, graphics, captions and other creative elements to produce videos that are visually attractive and easy to understand.

The role involves editing both long-form videos and short-form videos. Long-form editing may include YouTube videos, educational content, tutorials, interviews, presentations and other detailed content. Short-form editing may include Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook videos and promotional clips designed for social media audiences.

You will be expected to understand the purpose of each video and edit the content according to the target audience, platform and content style.

LONG-FORM VIDEO EDITING

You will work on long-form video projects such as YouTube videos, tutorials, educational videos, interviews, informational videos and promotional content. Your responsibilities may include removing unnecessary footage, arranging clips, improving pacing, adding background music, synchronizing audio, adding text and graphics, inserting B-roll footage, creating transitions and preparing the final video for publishing.

The goal is to create videos that maintain viewer attention while keeping the content clear, professional and engaging.

SHORT-FORM VIDEO EDITING

You will also create short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook. Short-form editing requires strong attention to pacing, timing and visual presentation.

You may work on subtitles, captions, hooks, zoom effects, transitions, sound effects, background music, B-roll, graphics and other editing elements that make short videos more engaging.

You will learn how to adapt the same content into different formats and create videos according to the requirements of different social media platforms.

VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE

Candidates should have practical knowledge of one or more professional video editing tools. Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or similar video editing software will be valuable.

Knowledge of CapCut is useful for short-form videos and social media content, while Adobe Premiere Pro is widely used for professional long-form video editing. Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects or DaVinci Resolve will be an added advantage.

You do not need to know every software mentioned above. What matters most is your understanding of video editing concepts, creativity, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will edit raw footage into polished long-form and short-form videos, remove unwanted sections, arrange clips, synchronize audio and video, add subtitles and captions, use transitions appropriately, add background music and sound effects, perform basic color correction, improve audio quality and prepare videos according to platform requirements.

You may also be required to create different versions of the same video for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and other digital platforms.

You will work closely with the content and digital marketing team to understand video requirements, follow creative instructions and complete assigned projects within the required timeline.

REAL PROJECT EXPERIENCE

This role provides practical experience through real video editing projects rather than only theoretical learning. You will work with actual content requirements and learn how professional video production and digital content workflows operate.

Depending on the project, you may work on YouTube content, social media reels, short videos, promotional videos, educational content, advertisements, marketing videos and other business-related video projects.

TRAINING AND GUIDANCE

Candidates will receive guidance on the video editing workflow, content requirements and professional editing practices. If you are a fresher, you will have the opportunity to improve your editing skills through practical assignments and real project work.

You will learn how to organize raw footage, understand editing requirements, create engaging videos, maintain consistent quality and prepare final videos for different digital platforms.

The training and guidance will focus on practical video editing skills that can help you build a professional portfolio and gain experience in the digital media industry.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Freshers, students, recent graduates and candidates with prior video editing experience can apply. Candidates who have created YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos or personal content are also encouraged to apply.

A formal degree is not the primary requirement for this role. Practical editing ability, creativity, willingness to learn and attention to detail are important.

Candidates who are passionate about video editing and want to build a career as a Video Editor, YouTube Video Editor, Short Form Video Editor, Reels Editor or Social Media Video Editor are encouraged to apply.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Candidates should have a good understanding of basic video editing concepts and should be comfortable working with video footage, audio, images, text and graphics.

Useful skills include long-form video editing, short-form video editing, YouTube video editing, Instagram Reels editing, YouTube Shorts editing, social media video editing, subtitles and captions, audio editing, video transitions, color correction, basic motion graphics, sound effects and content formatting.

Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects or DaVinci Resolve will be an advantage.

CREATIVITY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL

A good Video Editor should understand timing, storytelling and visual presentation. You should be able to identify unnecessary portions of footage, maintain a smooth flow and make the final video easy and enjoyable to watch.

Attention to detail is important because small improvements in audio, captions, transitions, timing and visual consistency can significantly improve the quality of a video.

WORK FROM HOME OPPORTUNITY

This is a remote/work-from-home Video Editor opportunity. Candidates should have access to a suitable computer or laptop capable of handling video editing software, a stable internet connection and a suitable working environment.

You should be able to communicate with the team online, receive project instructions, submit completed videos and make revisions when required.

CAREER AND PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT

This opportunity can help you build practical experience and develop a professional video editing portfolio. Working on different types of content can help you understand how video editing is used for YouTube, social media marketing, advertising, education and business communication.

Candidates who consistently demonstrate good editing skills, creativity, reliability and professionalism may receive opportunities for additional responsibilities or future career growth based on company requirements and performance.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process may include application screening, portfolio or previous work review, a short interview and a practical video editing task. Candidates may be asked to demonstrate their editing skills using a sample project or previous work.

If you have a portfolio, YouTube channel, Instagram page or sample videos, you can share them during the application process.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who is creative, responsible, willing to learn and genuinely interested in video editing. You should be comfortable working with feedback, making revisions and completing assigned projects within the required timeline.

If you are looking for a Video Editor job, YouTube Video Editor job, Reels Video Editor job, Shorts Video Editor job, long-form video editing opportunity or remote video editing opportunity, this role can provide practical exposure to real digital content projects.
